How you will contribute
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Warehouse Associate position in the Global Irrigation Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will be responsible for overall shipping and receiving, stocking and maintaining inventory of orders while managing the day-to-day operations of warehouse. Additionally, you will
+ Must be able to operate a forklift and have a valid driver's license.
+ Maintain proficiently operating company system software and other systems required to execute the various other job functions.
+ Responsible for operating departmental equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Ordinary care and attention is required to prevent damage to the warehouse equipment used.
+ This position is liable for self and the occasional training of others. Must be able to provide training and instructions to employees with less experience within this job classification, identifying problems with parts and processes they are working with.
+ Responsible for managing day-to-day operations of warehouse, including retrieval, packaging and shipping of orders including coordinating transportation logistics and systems data entry.
+ Work with the Company Safety Committee and ensure that the company workplace's health and safety requirements are being met including certification of forklift drivers.
+ Responsible for overall shipping and receiving, stocking and maintaining inventory, Wire Cutting/Boot Hose operations, and general work flow within warehouse and yard.
+ Maintain building and surrounding areas along with securing the building/yard including product inventory.
+ Responsible for facility and vehicle maintenance including lighting, A/C, generators, etc.
+ Be available for other projects and duties as requested by supervisor or management.
What it takes
+ High School Diploma
+ Successful previous warehouse experience
+ Some computer skills and software, including Microsoft Office and e-mail
+ Self-motivated, responsible, accountable and mature, with a desire to excel.
+ Ability to walk property, stand, and sit as needed
+ Ability to frequently lift and/or move 40 Lbs.
Highly qualified candidates will also possess:
+ Experience operating a personal computer in a professional environment
+ A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
