Accountemps is seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join a team of highly skilled professionals in a stimulating work environment. The candidate's responsibilities in this role include attending to the general needs of the AP/Finance Department, while working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager. The candidate will primarily focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Based out of the Honolulu, Hawaii area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short term temporary opening.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

  • Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned

  • Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

  • Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

  • Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

  • Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

  • Conduct full-cycle A/P

  • Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

  • Accounts payable experience

  • Strong familiarity with SAP Financials

  • Adeptness in W2 - 1099 - T4 Preparation

  • Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel

  • Account reconciliation experience preferred

  • Month end closings experience highly desired

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • High attention to detail and possess excellent organizational and writing skills

  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

  • Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
