Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Chief Digital Strategist, and Director Innovation & Corporate Relations for The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers. This position reports directly to the Dean of Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP). This position is primary responsible for developing long-term strategic plans for the creation and organization of the new Center of Applied Psychology & Innovation(CAPi) and expanding GSAPP’s trainings from a state/regional audience to a national audience. The Innovation division will develop technology products and programs that will create new opportunities to advance the methods of delivering training and preparedness of current and future professionals in the field of Psychology. This position also serves as the Architect of new digital products that will serve to connect GSAPP programs to new sources of funding from the corporate sector. This position is also responsible for the overall management of the CAPi administrative staff and finances.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Develops digital strategy, define product needs, research, develop user experiences, identify resources, user experience testing, work with Rutgers staff to integrate products, financial management, develop marketing plans.

  • Oversees the execution of all products and programs, resource management, timeline, communications, build a Project Management Discipline.

  • Identifies and builds strategic partnerships with corporations as a source of funding for innovation initiatives.

  • Develops opportunities to create digital content that can be merchandised.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Master’s Degree in Business Management or related field and extensive experience business reorganization and budget management.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in product management with excellent financial, personnel, communication, organizational and planning skills.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience in managing a large organization, writing proposals, securing funding.

  • Prior experience in developing innovative and entrepreneurial avenues for new funding.

  • Ability to supervise staff and students.

  • Successful public speaking and fundraising experience.
