Tetra Tech BAS is a solid waste, environmental, and civil infrastructure firm with more than 25 years of experience managing landfill and hazardous waste projects for municipal and commercial clients. BAS supports the full waste management project life cycle, from planning to engineering, construction, and operations and maintenance. BAS also provides specialized services including landfill gas management, geotechnical consulting, and public infrastructure support services. Our office in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a full-time, regular Landfill Gas Technician for various job sites in the Phoenix, AZ area. The individual will be responsible the calibration and maintenance of landfill gas monitoring equipment to gather composition data. H/she will also perform New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) surface monitoring to gather surface emissions data. Other manual labor is required as related to the maintenance of landfill gas collection systems and associated components. Basic mechanical and/or electrical knowledge along with a science background is highly desirable. The qualifying candidate will have above average writing skills, legible penmanship, basic computer skills, and ability to work independently. Responsibilities:

+ Operate and maintain gas collection system on a timely and cost effective basis in order to achieve performance standards

+ Monthly Wellfield Maintenance, Monitoring and Tuning

+ Liquid Level Measurements in Gas Extraction Wells, if required

+ Pneumatic Pump Cleaning / Maintenance

+ Daily Preventative Maintenance

+ HDPE Pipe Welding

+ Condensate Management System Maintenance

+ Monitor LFG perimeter probes

+ Quarterly Surface Scan (NSPS Sites), if required

+ Coordinate and oversee activities of contractors completing non-routine repairs

+ Operational Support of Blower/Flare Systems

+ Tracing of Electrical Circuitry

+ Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Collection Systems
