The Boeing Company IT Project Management Specialist in Singapore, Singapore

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing and executing IT projects effectively, on schedule and, if assigned, within budget. As empowered by the project owner and sponsors, the PM is/responsible and accountable/to achieve the project goals through the project team.

The PM coordinates project stakeholders in order to:

  • Develop, negotiate and document project goals, requirements/success criteria and the project plans and schedules to achieve them in collaboration with project sponsors, management and stakeholders.

  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals; as required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within or outside the Company

  • Ensure effective and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle with the project team, project sponsors, stakeholders and Program Management Office. This includes developing, documenting and maintaining appropriate project plans, schedules progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

  • Lead project execution per plan, schedule and budget. Track project milestones and deliverables and oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.

  • Effectively manage the project team by assigning / coordinating project tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel and resolving issues and conflicts.

  • Proactively identify project scope changes, risks, dependencies and constraints; develop and execute mitigation plans and adjust project plan, schedule, budget and resources appropriately.

  • Engage and collaborate with with the overall IT Int'l Program Management Office in order to align and comply with the overall IT International best practices and tools and that appropriate project visibility is maintained and exchanged.

    The Project Manager interacts on a frequent basis the IT International Program Management Office and the project stakeholders. Occasional business travel is expected to other global sites as driven by business needs. Significant flexibility is expected as off-hours activity is expected when coordinating with a globally dispersed team.

    Competencies:

  • Solid Project Management skills with demonstrable supporting work experience.

  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to take the initiative and find ways of driving and executing multiple concurrent projects despite ambiguity and organizational complexity

  • Strong collaborative leadership and organizational skills to deliver results through a team. Ability to influence with or without authority, facilitate groups with diverse perspectives, bring teams to consensus/alignment.

  • Good judgment; mature balance between PM methodological principles and project agility.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English absolutely a must.

  • Ability to confidently interface with project stakeholders who may include IT senior managers, business partners, Enterprise IT Functions and external IT Service Providers.

  • Strong sensitivity for cultural differences and significant global acumen.

    Education/experience:

  • At least five years of working experience needed.

  • At least three years of practical and demonstrable Project Management experience.

  • Project Management certifications (esp. PMP, Prince2) highly desirable.

  • IT / Technical education background.
