Lockheed Martin Staff Program Quality Engineer in Sunnyvale, California
Description: Perform reviews and inspections of program artifacts/deliverables and associated activities to assure quality requirements processes and standards are met. Analyze measurement data to ensure quantitative measurement effectiveness and to eradicate defects. Plan, manage and perform process and product evaluations (audits). Monitor the product development, integration, test and acceptance of products. Monitor the development metrics. Participate in process improvement. Perform shipping and receiving inspections, manage an equipment calibration schedule, manage electrostatic discharge workbenches and assign instructions for validating product entering into the supply chain.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills: Experienced with peer reviews of software, systems or documents
Experience as a process auditor or being audited
Process and performance measurement: developing, collecting and analyzing metrics
Knowledge of lean six sigma
Knowledge of a defect tracking tool
Knowledge of software development tools
Understanding of external quality standards such as ISO9001/AS9100
Experience using Agile principles
Root Cause and Corrective Action facilitator training and/or certification
Knowledge of supplier quality techniques for verifying product entering the supply chain
Experience verifying a subcontractor quality management system
Ability to support limited domestic travel
An active clearance of at least Top Secret (needed before being considered for an interview)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.).
Excellent communication skills
Experience with a development lifecycle
Experience working in a team environment
Experience evaluating product functions or development processes
