What You'll Do This is a unique opportunity to lead the next generation of one of the world’s most iconic test and-measurement companies, focused on accelerating the realization of innovative, world-changing technologies. This leader will be instrumental in driving the transformation to a dynamic and innovative solutions organization enabling consistent revenue growth.

The Director of Field Applications Engineering will report directly to the Commercial VP for EMEA and be the EMEA liaison to the GMs. The right person will lead a team of Field Applications Engineers and FAE Managers to provide consultative technical assistance to customers throughout the sales process. This leader will be responsible for the design and execution of the go-to-market strategy for the entire EMEA’s FAE team.

Responsibilities Include:

o Driving the go-to-market strategy for the FAE team aimed at consultatively addressing customer needs and investing in the most effective and efficient resource deployment.

o Act as the EMEA technical liaison to product development to provide field and customer input to roadmaps and garner resources for the field.

o Build and champion a high-performance team and creating a place people want to work.

o Leverage sales, marketing and product leadership to execute strategies to win in a competitive marketplace.

o Recruit, retain, and develop technical talent from individual contributor to manager, including onboarding of new talent.

o Lead and create followership through transformation; create a vision to align stakeholder engagement.

o Drive change through process and metrics-driven leadership.

Who You’ll Work With You report directly to the Commercial VP of EMEA and act as the primary technical liaison to EMEA sales, marketing, channels, operations leaders. You get to develop executive relationships with strategic customers and partners in the big 4 countries. You are part of the Worldwide Commercial organization with peers across the globe.

Qualifications:

Who You Are The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

o At least eight years’ experience in Field Applications Engineering: developing deep, collaborative and consultative relationships with customers.

o At least three years’ experience leading a regional team with a track record of consistent results

o Proficiency with test and measurement equipment.

o Proven history of attracting, retaining and developing high performance Field Applications Engineers

o Strong executive communication and presence. Public speaking experience beneficial.

o Demonstrated high-intensity, high-initiative approach towards owning and growing the business with disciplined funnel management process.

o Ability to assimilate information from multiple sources to accelerate or course correct.

o Commitment to be in market with local teams and customers to identify business opportunities and appropriately motivate the team.

o Demonstrated ability to drive change in a highly matrixed organization.

o Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline or equivalent experience
